Extra Point: Way Too Early Look at Boston College's 2025 Football Season

Spring Practice is underway for Boston College and the 2025 season is around the corner.
Last season was a sign of improvement for the program under Bill O'Brien. The Eagles finished with a 7-6 record, 4-4 conference play record but the new season might be a bit more challenging.
O'Brien knows that the first year was a bit rough but now that he has a system in place, the players can now buy in quicker and have everything be simpler than the year before.
"I think that these guys have a better idea of how we practice, so this day today compared to this day a year ago is definitely, from a tempo standpoint, from an understanding how we do things, drills, all the different things that go into how we practice, I think it was better, but we got a long way to go," O" Brien said after the first day of spring practice. "But year two is definitely a little bit farther ahead than where we were in year one at this point. "
An early look at the schedule will show they will face the two teams in the ACC Championship game, Clemson and SMU. They will have to play against the National Championship runner-ups in Notre Dame. Don't look at the surging Pitt, Syracuse, and Georiga Tech teams that can give anyone a run for their money. They also have a Big 10 matchup against a revamped Michigan State team looking to redeem themselves after the last number of seasons.
Safe to say this is one of the hardest schedules in the ACC this upcoming year and a supreme challenge for O'Brien and the Eagles. Right now, the chances of them being better than 7-6 are not in their favor but there is a chance. College football is a mysterious sport and a few wins could fall in their favor this upcoming season.
