BC Basketball Recruiting: Local 5* Terrence Clarke Commits To Kentucky

One of the nation's elite recruits Terrence Clarke chose the Kentucky Wildcats today in a ceremony in Boston. The 5* recruit, #3 in the countrywho had Boston College in his final 6 had been linked to the Wildcats for a while now, also announced to Bleacher Report that he would reclassify to the Class of 2020.

It was big news that the Eagles were even in on a player like this, but in the end it appears they really never had much of a shot. Clarke had talked about how he wanted to put Boston on the map, but clearly he meant by being a Boston kid and playing well at a big school like UK. Clarke would have been a program changing recruit for Boston College, one that probably would have made the school a contender in the ACC. But that won't be happening.
Of the trio of elite recruits BC has been linked with, that also include DeMarr Langford and Carter Whitt, Clarke was the long shot. Langford still has a 100% Crystal Ball to BC on 247, and Carter Whitt's page has BC with the best shot. Hopefully the Eagles will be able to land either or both of these recruits.
