#6: 1984 Boston College 38 #8 Alabama 31

Probably one of the first games where Flutie Magic took the national stage. BC was down by 17 to start the second half when Flutie hit Troy Stradford for a 42 yard pass and the come back was on. In front of 68,000 people at Legion Field in Alabama, BC came back even with an injured shoulder of Doug Flutie, who threw for 254 yards and two touchdowns. While Flutie finished the game a Heisman hopeful, it was Tony Thurman a safety, who had the legendary game finishing the game with three interceptions, setting up Flutie to run his magic. Thurman's final interception was a game clincher when he sniffed out a half back pass to seal the win.

#11 Boston College 20 Georgia 16- Music City Bowl

Even with the flu, it was the Willie Green show in Nashville Tennessee as the Eagles took down another SEC powerhouse. BC who had lost 22 straight games against ranked opponents stunned the Bulldogs who had no answer to Green who ran for 149 yards and two touchdowns, his final one coming with 4:43 left.

Georgia head coach Mark Richt, did some Mark Richt things to clinch the wins for the Eagles. In a move that would inspire Steve Addazio, he punted the ball with 1:32 left on the Georgia 43 yard line. BC was able to effectively run the clock down and sealed the win.
