Update Saturday: Defensive tackle Ray Smith has also been invited to the XFL Draft, raising the number of Eagles to seven.

Update Thursday: Four more Eagles were added to the draft list released by the league. Today Lukas Denis (safety), Ty Schwab (linebacker), Ian Silberman (offensive linemen) and former Heisman Finalist Andre Williams were all announced.

Preparations for the inaugural season of the new XFL are under way, and as Vince McMahon's company gets ready they have invited players to enter their first ever draft. Over the past two days the league's Twitter account has been tweeting out invite lists for the draft. On Monday, there were no Boston College players announced, however today two names were announced:

In case you can't read the small print the two players are 2016 quarterback Patrick Towles and wide receiver Jack Bramswig. Towles, a 2016 transfer from Kentucky started thirteen games for the Eagles throwing for 1730 yards, 12 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He is the last Boston College quarterback to win a bowl game for the Eagles, defeating Maryland in the Quick Lane Bowl 36-30.

Jack Bramswig came to Boston College as a transfer from Manhattansville College where he played four years of basketball. Once on the team with the Eagles, he was classified as a wide receiver, where he only recorded action in one game against Louisville.

The XFL is made up of eight teams, and will be holding their first player draft on October 15th and 16th. The league will continue to unveil the over 1000 players who will be draft eligible completing the process on October 11th, with the draft itself on October 15th. The league kicks off in February 2020.

If any additional Boston College players are announced, this post will be updated as well.
