What kind of LB did BC get?

On Wednesday afternoon Boston College landed a commitment from Catholic Memorial linebacker Owen McGowan. The 2021 junior, doesn't have much online, but his sophomore year highlight reel shows why Boston College wanted to move on him quickly. At 6'1 230 he already has good size for his age, and his play looks beyond his years. Of course we are only seeing the positives, but what it looks like is a kid that will be ready to step in day one for BC. A really physical linebacker, with good power, who looks like he could become a tackling machine for the Eagles. Just his style of play reminds me of Isaiah McDuffie or Kevin Pierre Louis. Watching him play, he just has that certain style of physical but disciplined play that just fits in well with Boston College football.

Check out the film below that highlights Owen's sophomore season and see what you think!
