Boston College Football Recruiting: Eagles Land Commitment From '21 CB Jalen McCain
Just hours after Boston College finished their lopsided win against Richmond, they got even more good news. On the recruiting front, Jalen "Buck" McCain announced on Twitter that he has committed to the Eagles.
McCain, a 3 star cornerback out of Maryland already had a pretty solid early list of North Carolina, Maryland, Rutgers and UMass. It is pretty impressive that a player with offers like this could be poached out of Maryland/UNC's backyard by the Eagles. BC's growing reputation of building NFL caliber defensive backs could be starting to grow fruit on the recruiting trail.
The 5'10 cornerback has good size as a junior high school player at the position and certainly could fill out even more over the next few years. In his film which you can see good ball awareness at the cornerback position, and good size and jump. Remember he is just a junior now, so he will continue to grow, and could become another solid sized Boston College corner.
He is the first defensive back in the class of 2021, and one of three over the past two years joining Jason Scott and Denzel Blackwell. By the time he gets on campus Brandon Sebastian will be a senior and Tate Haynes a junior, so he will have some time to learn the defense at Boston College.
Welcome to the Heights Jalen!
