Boston College Offers Georgia Safety VJ Payne
Boston College made an offer to Buford HS (GA) safety VJ Payne last week.
Payne, a 2022 three star recruit is already seeing his recruitment blow up. He currently holds offers from Arkansas, USC, Michigan State, and Arizona State. We spoke with him shortly after he received his offer from the Eagles.
He has been in touch with linebackers coach Sean Duggan, who according to Payne offered him on the phone late last week. He is getting to know the program, but has been in contact frequently with Duggan. "BC is a very good school in sports and in academics. They have a very good coaching staff that is experienced." he said when asked about what he thought about the program.

Watching his film Payne looks to be a hybrid safety-linebacker type who could play closer to the line of scrimmage or back in coverage. He's a hard hitter, with good movement and good instincts. This is the type of player that reminds me a lot of the type of player that is going to get more film out to coaches and see his recruitment get even bigger.
As his recruitment begins to pick up Payne knows what his ideal program would have. "I’m looking for a school that will help me grow as a man and also to help fulfill my dream going to the NFL and leave with a good education." According to the safety, Michigan State stands out to him, but he does plan on visiting Boston College when it is safe to do so.
