On Tuesday, the Big 12 released the men's conference basketball schedule. Here is a look at BYU's first basketball schedule as a Big 12 school.

BYU won't have time to waste before its thrown into the Big 12 gauntlet. Ironically, the Cougars tip off the conference slate with a home game against Cincinnati. On Friday, the BYU football team kicks off its first conference home game, also against Cincinnati. After Cincinnati, BYU travels to Baylor for one of its toughest matchups of the season.

The Cougars will host Houston and Texas in an exacting pair of home games in late January. After that home stand, BYU hits the road to take on West Virginia and Oklahoma.

Perhaps the most challenging stretch of the schedule will be in late February when BYU hosts Baylor before it takes on Kansas State and Kansas in back-to-back road games.

BYU previously released its non-conference schedule for the upcoming season. The Cougars take on San Diego State, Arizona State, Utah, and Wyoming among others in the nonconference.
