KenPom Predicts BYU Basketball vs Texas Tech in Big 12 Tournament
The Big 12 tournament is officially underway. On Tuesday morning, BYU beat UCF convincingly in the second round. With the win, BYU advances to the quarterfinals where it will play Texas Tech on Thursday morning. The Cougars are looking to avenge a January road loss to the Red Raiders. In that game, BYU had a 17-point lead at halftime for Tech came roaring back in the second half to pull out the 85-78 win.
KenPom, the industry leader in college basketball analytics, predicted BYU-Texas Tech. KenPom gives BYU a 58% chance to win with a projected final score of 78-76 in favor of the Cougars.
As of this writing, BYU is ranked 15th in KenPom while Texas Tech is ranked 24th.

Most of the second round of the Big 12 tournament is in the books. BYU, TCU, and Kansas State won on Wednesday and will advance to the quarterfinals on Thursday. As of this writing, Cincinnati leads Kansas at halftime.
BYU will take on Texas Tech in the quarterfinals. The winner of that game will advance to take on the winner of TCU-Houston.
Kansas State, who will be playing in front of a pro-Wildcat crowd, will take on 2-seed Iowa State. The winner of that game will advance to take on either Baylor or the winner of the Kansas-Cincinnati game.
