BYU QB Jaren Hall Reportedly Drawing Interest From Four NFL Teams
After throwing for more than 50 touchdowns at BYU, quarterback Jaren Hall declared for the 2023 NFL Draft. Hall participated in the NFL Combine earlier this month, and he also performed in front of NFL Scouts at BYU's Pro Day last week. Hall has been projected as a mid-round draft pick, and he has been linked to a few specific NFL teams in a recent report from Pro Football Network.
Tony Pauline of Pro Football Network reported that "the Minnesota Vikings, Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions, and Indianapolis Colts all have interest in Hall...In fact, Indianapolis has compared Hall to Jalen Hurts, the quarterback developed by new head coach Shane Steichen," Pauline said. He also mentioned the LA Rams as a team to watch.
At BYU's Pro Day, which included representatives from all 32 NFL teams, Hall put together what Pauline described as an "outstanding" throwing session.
Hall is one the older prospects in the upcoming NFL Draft. Hall spent five years in the BYU football program and he served a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints after high school. According to Pauline, Hall's age is not an issue "as we see more quarterbacks playing, and thriving, into their 30s.
Jaren Hall's Career at BYU
At BYU, Hall threw for 6,174 passing yards and 52 touchdowns to just 11 interceptions. He also added 800 yards and 9 touchdowns on the ground. Hall totaled nine games in his career of 300 passing yards or more.
