BYU Football Injury Updates for Iowa State
On Saturday night, Kalani Sitake and the BYU football team take on the Iowa State Cyclones. BYU is 5-4 and coming off a loss to West Virginia. Iowa State is also 5-4 and coming off a loss to Kansas. In his pregame interview, BYU head coach Kalani Sitake provided injury updates for the Iowa State game.
Running back LJ Martin is available against Iowa State.
BYU guard Paul Maile will start for the Cougars tonight. Maile missed the game against West Virginia and BYU's offensive line struggled without him. He will replace Caleb Etienne in the starting lineup.
The Cougars will get a pair of wide receivers back in the lineup. Kody Epps is cleared and "ready to play" after leaving the game against West Virginia. Keanu Hill will also be available for the first time in a few weeks.
Wide receiver Darius Lassiter will not be available against the Cyclones.
Safety Talan Alfrey is back from injury and available for the first time this season. Alfrey suffered an injury during Fall camp.

BYU Quarterback Situation
Jake Retzlaff will start at quarterback for BYU against Iowa State. Retzlaff made his first career start last week against West Virginia, replacing an injured Kedon Slovis.
If there was a silver lining in an otherwise disappointing performance against West Virginia, it was the play of quarterback Jake Retzlaff. The JUCO transfer made his first career start at quarterback for the Cougars, throwing for 210 yards on 24/42 passing. He also had 26 rushing yards on 10 carries.
