BYU Releases the Depth Chart for Road Game at Arkansas

It's another game week for Kalani Sitake and the BYU football program. The Cougars will travel to Arkansas to take on the Razorbacks in their first road test of the season. On Monday, BYU released the official depth chart for the game at Arkansas. Below is the full depth chart and analysis.

Quarterback

  1. Kedon Slovis
  2. Jake Retzlaff
  3. Cade Fennegan

Kedon Slovis showed why he was named BYU's starting quarterback shortly after arriving in Provo. Slovis threw for 348 yards and he scored five total touchdowns.

After Kedon Slovis, Jake Retzlaff is the backup quarterback and Cade Fennegan is the third-string quarterback. Fennegan, however, will play in garbage time like he did against Southern Utah. BYU is attempting to preserve Retzlaff's redshirt.

Running Back

1. Aidan Robbins
2. Deion Smith
3. LJ Martin

No changes to the depth chart at running back. However, true freshman has received the most carries and ran for the most yards in the first two games. If BYU is going to establish the ground game against Arkansas, it feels like Martin has to be the guy.

Wide Receiver

Darius Lassiter Southern Utah
  1. Darius Lassiter OR Kody Epps OR Parker Kingston
  1. Keanu Hill OR Keelan Marion
  1. Chase Roberts or Jojo Phillips

No changes to the depth chart at wide receiver. Epps and Hill missed week one due to lingering injuries from Fall camp. Hill played against Southern Utah and Epps is expected to return against Arkansas.

Tight End

  1. Isaac Rex
  2. Mata'ava Ta'ase
  3. Jackson Bowers

No changes to the tight end depth chart after week two.

2. Connor Pay
3. Peter Falaniko

Right Guard
1. Connor Pay
2. Paul Maile

Right Tackle
1. Caleb Etienne
2. Brayden Keim

For the first time this season, BYU named outright starters along the offensive line. Caleb Etienne is listed as a starter even though Brayden Keim has played in his position at various times this season.

If BYU is going to upset Arkansas, the offensive line must play better.
