BYU Signee Enoch Watson Made One of the Best Plays of the High School Football Season

Watson made the MaxPreps top 10 plays of the high school football season

Earlier this week, MaxPreps named the top 10 plays of the high school football season. BYU quarterback commit Enoch Watson made the cut. His game-winning touchdown was ranked the sixth-best play of the college football season.

Back in September, Watson caught a game-winning touchdown in the final seconds to secure a 29-28 victory. So what made this play unique? With 25 seconds remaining, Watson threw the pass that he eventually caught. Watson's pass was batted down at the line of scrimmage. He caught the deflected pass, broke some tackles, and found the end zone for the game-winning touchdown. His touchdown capped off a 19-pioint comeback.

Watson signed his national letter of intent last Wednesday. BYU was the first school to extend Enoch a scholarship earlier this year, and it didn't take long for him to commit and secure his spot in BYU's recruiting class. Watson is the younger brother of 2023 signee Pierson Watson.

As a senior, Watson threw for 2,450 yards and 28 touchdowns. His TD/Int ratio was especially impressive. He only threw three interceptions all season. Watson prefers to throw, but he is athletic enough to make plays with his legs.

Watson dreamed of playing for BYU. He will fulfill his dream after he serves a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Watson already has his mission call. He was called to serve in the Chile, Viña Del Mar mission. He will enroll at BYU after his mission.
