BYU to Wear Classic Royal Uniforms Against Oklahoma

The Cougars will wear the classic royal home uniforms against the Sooners

On Saturday, the BYU football program will host the Oklahoma Sooners for the first time in program history. The Cougars will wear the classic royal home uniforms with a slight twist: the helmets will feature white facemasks instead of royal. This is the first time BYU will have worn the same uniform twice this season. The Cougars wore the classic uniforms last month against Texas Tech.

BYU Uniform Combinations in 2023

This will be the tenth unique uniform combination in 11 games for BYU. In week one against Sam Houston State, BYU wore the royal home uniforms with royal helmets.

Against Southern Utah, BYU wore all navy including a new navy helmet. That was the first time BYU had worn navy helmets since 2021.

Against Arkansas, BYU wore the royal away jerseys with royal helmets in a 38-31 upset.

Against Kansas, BYU wore all white with navy accents.

Against Cincinnati, BYU wore the all royal uniforms.

Against TCU, BYU wore the classic royal away uniforms in a blowout loss.

Against Texas Tech, BYU wore the classic royal home uniforms for homecoming.

The Cougars wore the navy away uniforms with the new navy helmets in the loss to Texas. The navy helmets included white facemasks instead of navy.

Against West Virginia, BYU wore the all white uniforms with royal trim. 

Against Iowa State, BYU wore the blackout uniforms. Cleats were a major talking point after this game. BYU players were slipping all throughout the game.
