BYU Wide Receivers Kody Epps and Parker Kingston Will Play Against TCU

Aaron Roderick announced that two BYU wide receivers will return to the lineup

On Wednesday, BYU offensive coordinator Aaron Roderick met with the media. In his interview, Roderick announced that BYU wide receivers Kody Epps and Parker Kingston will play for the Cougars against TCU.

Epps has played in only one game this season against Arkansas. He was limited in that game and he missed the other four games due to a lingering injury from Fall camp.

Parker Kingston will play after he left the Kansas game with an injury. Kingston was limited against Cincinnati.

Epps was one of BYU's top wide receivers in 2022. He finished with 459 receiving yards and he played particularly well against Arkansas. Epps' season was cut short after he suffered a season-ending injury at Liberty. When healthy, Epps brings a unique ability to get open and create throwing windows for his quarterback. That's a skill that BYU's offense has missed at times this sesaon.

Kingston played a pivotal role in BYU's win at Arkansas. In that game, Kingston threw a touchdown on a trick play, caught a touchdown pass, and returned a kickoff to midfield. Kingston is one of BYU's fastest players. His full return will give BYU another weapon to combat TCU's speed on defense.

Outside of the season opener against Colorado, TCU has been very good against the pass. BYU's offense has relied on throwing the football to score points. This matchup could determine the outcome of the game, so having two wide receivers back in the fold is a critical development for the BYU offense.
