Eight Returned Missionaries are Set to Join the BYU Football Program
On Wednesday, BYU added three more signees to the 28 players that signed during the early signing period. BYU also announced the eight returning missionaries that will join the program in time for the 2024 season. Most of the returned missionaries are projected to play on the offensive side of the ball.
Six of the missionaries enrolled in January and will compete in Spring camp.
- Nathan Hoke - LB
- Sione Hingano - OL
- Dallin Havea - LB
- Jovesa Damuni - RB
- Dominique McKenzie - WR
- Pokaiaua Haunga - RB
Dominique McKenzie has returned from his mission and is enrolled at BYU. He will immediately be one of the fastest players on the roster. His twin brother, Marcus McKenzie, was arguably BYU's best player on special teams last year before he suffered an injury.
Two of these missionaries will join the running back room. Jovesa Damuni and Pokaiaua Haunga were athletes in high school and could have played a handful of positions at BYU. Both of them will start their careers at running back.
Two other signees will return from their missions soon and will be on the roster in time for Fall camp.
- Cody Hagen - WR
- Noah Moeaki - TE
Former four-star prospect Cody Hagen is one of the highest-rated wide receivers to sign with BYU. Hagen has legit speed and he is a very polished receiver. Hagen has a chance to be a star at BYU.
Noah Moeaki was an underrated signing in the 2022 class. He played both tight end and linebacker at American Fork High School. He is a great athlete that will make an impact in his BYU career.
Additionally, there are two other signees from the 2022 class that will likely grayshirt in 2024 before joining the program in January.
- Jarinn Kalama - WR/DB
- Cannon Devries - S
