Seven Four-Star Recruits that BYU is Recruiting in the 2024 Class

The Cougars are in early on various high-profile recruits in the 2024 class

The class of 2023 is mostly in the books and BYU's coaching staff has turned the page to the class of 2024. The Cougars are in early on various four-star recruits in the 2024 class. There are also multiple BYU targets that are high three-star recruits today that will be four-star recruits by signing day.

Today, we are focusing on those recruits that are already four-star recruits and are being actively recruited by BYU. Here are seven four-star targets in the 2024 class.

1. Isaac Wilson - QB

Even those fans that don't follow recruiting closely have probably heard of Corner Canyon quarterback Isaac Wilson. Isaac, who is the younger brother of Zach, Josh, and Micah Wilson, has been a top priority for BYU for a few years now. Isaac is a four-star quarterback that has great arm talent and impressive downfield accuracy.

Isaac and his family are obviously very familiar with the program. He has been on campus numerous times, most recently on Friday when he attended BYU's Pro Day with Zach Wilson. He is very familiar with BYU offensive coordinator Aaron Roderick and the success that BYU quarterbacks have had in Roderick's system.

BYU is in a battle to land Isaac's services - his recruitment has already reached higher levels than his three older brothers. The Cougars will continue to prioritize Isaac until he makes his college decision.

2. Gatlin Bair - WR

Gatlin Bair is a four-star wide receiver from Idaho who is on track to be the most highly-coveted recruit in Idaho history. Bair, who is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, has offers from all across the country including offers from the likes of Michigan, Oregon, Florida, Miami, Texas A&M, Texas, Utah, and Nebraska among others.

BYU and wide receivers coach Fesi Sitake have had success landing highly-recruited wide receivers in recent classes like Cody Hagen, Jojo Phillips, Dom McKenzie, and Kody Epps. Bair is the next highly-coveted target, but landing his signature will be the greatest challenge of all.

3. Ryner Swanson - TE

Ryner Swanson is a tight end from Laguna Beach, California with nearly 20 Power Five offers. Swanson has been a BYU target for a few years now, and the Cougars' recruiting efforts are paying off in the early going. Swanson recently told Adam Gorney that BYU, Utah, and Oregon are high on his list and he recently took a trip to Texas.

BYU has a strong tight end history and Swanson is the type of player that could add to that history in the Big 12.

4. Roger Saleapaga - TE

Speaking of tight ends, Roger Saleapaga is a four-star tight end from nearby Orem High School. Saleapaga has offers from all the local schools, but he also has offers from the likes of Oklahoma, Oregon, Miami, Tennessee, Iowa, Arizona State and Arizona among others.

5. Isaiah Garcia - OL

Offensive tackle prospect Isaiah Garcia is the highest-rated prospect in the state in the 2024 class. He has offers from all across the country, and his recruitment could still rise over the Spring evaluation period. BYU has an impressive track record with offensive tackles under the current coaching staff, and Garcia is the type of talent that would continue that tradition into the Big 12.

6. Luke Moga - QB

Isaac Wilson isn't the only four-star quarterback that BYU is actively recruiting. The Cougars extended an offer to Arizona quarterback Luke Moga in December when he held competing offers from Arizona State and Central Michigan. Since then, Moga has received competing offers from Oregon, Miami, Purdue, Utah, Oklahoma State, TCU, and Virginia among others. After seeing his recruitment rise over the last few months, Moga was named a four-star recruit by ESPN.

Moga took an unofficial visit to BYU in January, and he was back on campus this month to take in a Spring practice. BYU will continue to prioritize Moga until he makes his college decision.

7. Devoux Tuataga - DL

Another prospect whose recruitment has taken off in recent months, Devous Tuataga was named a four-star recruit by Rivals after racking up offers from the likes of BYU, Utah, Tennessee, Oregon, Arizona, Cal, Washington, and USC among others. Tuataga and his family took a trip to BYU back in January, and the Cougars' new defensive staff continues to push for his services.

Tuataga preps at Cedar Valley High School in Eagle Mountain, Utah. When he's not terrorizing opposing quarterbacks, Tuataga stars as a volleyball player.
