Cal Officially Names Ken Moses Assistant Basketball Coach
Cal announced that Ken Moses, who worked with Mark Madsen at Utah Valley, will be an assistant basketball coach at Cal.
Jarred Jackson, who also worked with Madsen at Utah Valley, is expected to be added to the Cal staff, although Cal has not made an official announcement regarding Jackson yet.
Moses was a member of the Utah Valley staff last season, his only season with the Wolverines. Before that he was part of the staff at Montana State for two years following a one-year stint as the Southern Illinois director of operations. Before that Moses worked two years at Missouri State University-West Plains, a junior college.
"Ken was a pivotal piece of our success at Utah Valley last season and brings a winning pedigree to Berkeley," Madsen said in a statement provided by Cal. "Ken is a brilliant tactician, and I've seen firsthand the type of individual and leader that he is. I have no doubt he'll enrich our student-athletes' experiences while helping lead our program into the future. I'm excited to have him with me at Cal."
Moses also provided a statement:
"I'm grateful to continue my coaching career alongside Coach Madsen," Moses said. "It's an honor to work with a coach who does things the right way. Coach Madsen is a great leader, teacher and mentor. I'm excited for the brand of basketball that we're going to bring to Berkeley."
