Cal women’s basketball reportedly received another significant commitment as top-50 prospect Ugonne “Michelle” Onyiah of Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Eastvale, Calif., apparently has decided to come join the Bears.

She attends Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Eastvale, CA and plays for the Cal Sparks basketball club.

The 6-foot-3 Onyiah is ranked as the nation’s No. 34 prospect in the class of 2020 by ESPN’s HoopGurlz, and she joins another five-star prospect, Fatou Samb, who committed to Cal and new coach Charmin Smith last week.

Elbert Kinnebrew of Cal Sparks made the announcement of Onyiah’s commitment to Cal via twitter.

Here are two of the HoopGurlz evaluations of Onyiah:

Cal Sparks Pre-Summer-June 2019: Athletic interior prospect with a high ceiling; quick in the paint, aggressive on the glass brings emerging offensive arsenal to the paint; superb in transition game; defends in the block; a potential power-5 star. (Olson)

Boo Williams Invitational-April 2019: Athletic big-forward competes on the glass, finishes plays in the paint; agile in uptempo game; defends in the paint, alters shots, rebounds and initiates the fast break; emerging face up game; continues as a prospect with off-the-charts potential. (Olson)
