Cal Football: Seldom-Used WR Aidan Lee Enters the Transfer Portal

The redshirt sophomore did not record a pass reception in three seasons at Berkeley.

Redshirt sophomore wide receiver Aidan Lee announced on social media Wednesday evening that he will enter the portal and complete his college football career elsewhere.

Lee offered thanks to Cal head coach Justin Wilcox and receivers coach Burl Toler before announcing that he is entering the transfer portal.

In three seasons at Cal, the 6-foot-1, 235-pounder from Mesa, Arizona played in 10 games without registered a catch.

He was not listed on Cal’s two-deep chart exiting spring practice two weeks ago.

At Desert Ridge High School, Lee caught 112 passes for 1,538 yards and 12 touchdowns and earned a spot on Arizona’s all-state team as a senior in 2019.

Lee was rated a three-star prospect by 247Sports and ESPN and a two-star recruit by Rivals.
