Cal's Nov. 25 Game at UCLA Will Be a Night Game on ESPN
Cal needs to win this Saturday's game at Stanford and its regular-season finale at UCLA the following week to become bowl-eligible, and on Monday it was announced that the game at UCLA will be a night game.
The Golden Bears (4-6) may have the honor of participating in the final regular-season Pac-12 football game ever played. Their November 25 game against UCLA is scheduled to start 7:30 p.m. As of now, that is scheduled to be the final Pac-12 game of the day on November 25, which is the final day regular-season Pac-12 games will be played. The Cal-UCLA game will be televised by ESPN.
Two November 25 games -- Utah vs. Colorado and Arizona vs. Arizona State -- have not been assigned a starting time yet, so it's possible one or both could start at the same time or later than the Cal-UCLA contest.
The Pac-12 championship game is scheduled for Friday, December 1 at Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium. That will be the final Pac-12 football contest in history as USC, UCLA, Washington and Oregon are headed for the Big Ten next year, Cal and Stanford will be in the ACC, and Utah, Colorado, Arizona and Arizona State will be part of the Big 12 in 2024.
For the UCLA game to mean anything for Cal, the Bears would have to beat Stanford in the Big Game. The oddmakers believe Cal will make it happen, because the Golden Bears have been installed as 6.5-point favorites over the Cardinal by most betting sites and 6-point favorites on a few other sites. It will be worth noting whether that spread changes between now and the 3:30 p.m. kickoff for the Big Game at Stanford.
