Cal will be playing afternoon football games the next two weeks, and neither will be on national television.

The Golden Bears will host 24th-ranked USC in a 1 p.m. game that will be televised on Pac-12 Network this coming Saturday, and the Pac-12 announced on Monday that Cal's November 4 game against eighth-ranked Oregon in Eugene, Oregon, will start at 2:30 p.m. and will also be televised on Pac-12 Network.

Cal is a 10.5-point underdog against USC on some betting sites, and other betting sites have the Golden Bears as 11-point underdogs.

The games against USC and Oregon will be Cal's third and fourth consecutive games against ranked opponents.  Cal's Nov. 11 opponent, Washington State, has dropped out of the top 25 after losing three straight games, so the Bears won't play five consecutive games against ranked foes.

The Bears then finish up with games against Stanford and 23rd-ranked UCLA.

Three Pac-12 games will be featured on national television on Saturday, November 4.

The Washington game at USC will start at 4:30 and will be televised by ABC. The Oregon State game at Colorado will be televised by ESPN starting at 7 p.m. Pacific time. The UCLA game at Arizona will have a 7:30 p.m. kickoff and will be televised by FS1.

The Washington-USC game will feature a battle of Heisman Trophy candidates -- Washington's Michael Penix Jr. vs. USC's Caleb Williams. Williams was the 2022 Heisman Trophy winner, and Penix is among the leading contenders this year.

The USC-Washington game lost a little luster after USC suffered its second straight loss on Saturday, falling to Utah.  But the Trojans still have just one conference loss, and if they beat Cal this week, they would be battling for first place in the Pac-12 when they meet Washington.
