Cal Football: Nov. 11 Home Finale vs. WSU Set For 1 P.M. Kickoff

Bears travel this Saturday to No. 6 Oregon, which has been established as a 24.5-point favorite.

Cal football’s game against Washington State on Nov. 11 at Memorial Stadium — the Bears’ final home game ever in the Pac-12 Conference — will kick off at 1 p.m.

As traditions die hard in college football these days, at least the Bears get one last old-school afternoon kickoff before moving on to the Atlantic Coast Conference next season.

The Cal-WSU game will be aired on ESPN2.

The Bears (3-5, 1-4) are on the road this week, facing No. 6 Oregon (7-1, 4-1) in a 2:30 p.m. contest. The powerhouse Ducks, who dismantled Utah 35-6 in Salt Lake City last weekend, are 24.5-point favorites over Cal, according to SISportsbook.com.

The Ducks will be Cal’s fourth consecutive Top-25 foe — the Bears lost to Oregon State, Utah and USC their past three games.

In a rivalry that began in 1919, Cal leads the all-time series against WSU 48-30-5, although the Cougars (4-4, 1-4) have won the past two meetings. Washington State prevailed 28-9 a year at Berkeley in what one of the Bears’ worst showings of the season.

Washington State, which hosts Stanford on Saturday, began this season 4-0 including a win over Oregon State, and soared to No. 13 in the AP Top-25. But the Cougars have fallen out of the rankings after losing four in a row, including road defeats to UCLA, Oregon and Arizona State.
