Cal transfer offensive lineman Jackson Brown, who entered the transfer portal shortly after the end of the Bears' spring football workouts, announced this week that he has committed to Pittsburgh.

The 6-foot-6, 305-pound Brown is the son of Tony Brown, who played for the Pitt Panthers from 1982 to 1986.

As a redshirt freshman in 2022, Brown appeared in one game off the bench for Cal in  a 41-35 loss to USC.

Brown was listed as a second-string left tackle on the depth chart Cal released following spring ball.

He is from Danville, Calif., which is in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Cal continues to look for offensive linemen in the transfer portal.
