Cal offensive tackle Brayden Rohme, who started 15 games for the Golden Bears but none in 2023, announced on social media on Thursday that he is entering the transfer portal as a graduate transfer.

Rohme played in 10 games in 2023, all off the bench.

However, he started nine games in 2022, the first three at right tackle and the last six at left tackle. He started four games at left tackle as a redshirt freshman in 2021, and he started two of Cal's four games in 2020, a season that did not count against a player's college eligibility.

Rohme played in one game off the bench in 2019 as a true freshman.

Also Thursday, reserve Cal cornerback Tyson McWilliams announced Wednesday on social media that he has entered the transfer portal as a graduate transfer with two seasons of college eligibility remaining.

McWilliams has played in eight games in his four seasons at Cal, and has not had any starts.  In 2023 as a redshirt sophomore, he played in two games off the bench but did not record any statistics.

McWilliams received more playing time in 2022, when he saw action in six games and made 14 tackles, including one tackle for loss. His best game came against Oregon State when he made three tackles and one tackle for loss.

He did not play in either 2020 or 2021.

McWilliams is from San Diego and graduated from St. Augustine High School.
