Cal Announces Dates for All 15 Spring Football Practices

Cal announced on Saturday the dates of all 15 spring football practices, noting that Bears’ spring ball will be conducted in two sessions.
The school had announced earlier that spring practice will begin on March 11, and that its annual Cal Football Showcase will be held April 15, but it now has filled in the blanks for the other practices. All practices will be held at Memorial Stadium and are open to the public free of charge.
The Golden Bears will hold their first seven spring practices from March 11 through March 24 on each Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday during that span. The Bears will then take a two-week break and resume spring ball with its final eight workouts April 5 through April 15. Again the practices will be held Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
Cal's spring recess is March 27 through March 31.
The weekday sessions are scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m., while times for Cal's annual Pro Day on March 23 as well as the four Saturday practices, including the Cal Football Spring Showcase on April 15, will be announced at a later date.
The Bears will begin installing the offense of new offensive coordinator Jake Spavital, with TCU transfer quarterback Sam Jackson V being the focal point. Illinois transfer wide receiver Brian Hightower, Oregon transfer running back Byron Cardwell and Tennessee transfer running back Justin Williams-Thomas will be other newcomers of note.
