Jeremiah Davenport scored 22 and John Newman III added 10 points and four steals as the Cincinnati Bearcats survived the East Carolina Pirates 79-71.

Survived is the word as the Bearcats once held a 23-point advantage and drained just about every shot they took, in the first half. After halftime, things changed. 

Vance Jackson started to take over as he went on to score 35 points and grab nine rebounds all while making Bearcats fans sweat. Davenport, and company, buckled down and sealed the win, though, bringing the Bearcats conference record up to .500.
