CINCINNATI — The Bearcats released some brutal injury news this week. Forward Tyler McKinley is missing his entire freshman season with a knee injury. Wes Miller broke the news to the media on Tuesday.

"He went down," Miller said to the media. "He had knee surgery a week or so ago and he's going to be out for the year. Like that's a significant blow, and that really hurts the depth in our frontcourt. And a guy that we thought was going to be really good here and was trending ahead of where we thought he would be."

McKinley was slated to get some run in his opening season while onboarding into the program and growing his strength. Now, the four-star 2024 talent's on-court development is on hold for a bit.

Arrinten Page's importance as a backup big man grows with this news as Cincinnati gets ready to start the season in a few weeks.
