'I Do Remember Us Having More Fans Than Them' - Dayton Forward Praises His Sides Attendance Against Cincinnati

CINCINNATI — Dayton star forward Nate Santos is excited to see how well his fanbase shows out in Cincinnati on Friday night. Dayton fans clearly outnumbered Cincinnati basketball fans for last season's matchup at the Heritage Bank Arena, and he expects that again.
Dayton won the contest 82-68 in 2023.
"There's gonna be a lot of energy," Santos said. "Obviously, you know, they're down the road. It's not too far. I do remember us having more fans than them and just the great environment that was down there in Cincinnati. So I think we know that the Flyer faithful is going to be there supporting us. So I think we're just ready, we're excited because we know it's going to be a good game."
Dayton has one of the best offenses in the country, matching up with Cincinnati's elite defense. Santos will likely have an even greater impact than he did in a nine-point outing last December.
He is second on the team in scoring at 13.8 points per game. Check out Santos's thoughts from WDTN's Joey Deberardino:
