CINCINNATI — Jizzle James is set up to have a big sophomore season for Cincinnati on the hardwood, and CBS Sports insider Jon Rothstein agrees. He had James listed among 20 breakout candidates for the 2024-25 season.

"James averaged 19 points in three games last March during the Postseason NIT when Day Day Thomas was out of the lineup for Cincinnati due to injury," Rothstein noted. "The son of former NFL star Edgerrin James, this lead guard is primed to be a household name in the Big 12 during the 2024-25 season."

All in all, James posted 8.8 points per game and 2.1 assists on 19.3 minutes per game last season. He bumped that up to 13.1 PPG in seven postseason outings.
