CINCINNATI — The Bearcats have a McDonald's All-American signee out of high school for the first time since 2009. Five-star 2025 wing Shon Abaev is part of the 28-man roster for this year's McDonald's All-American game.

The 6-7 talent is UC's first signee out of high school to play in the game since Lance Stephenson. Abaev signed with Cincinnati this past fall and could be an instant salve to Cincinnati's isolation scoring issues this season and last.
