Weekly NET: Cincinnati Slips As 2023-24 Season Rages Into Final Third

The Bearcats likely have to post a winning record in their final eight games to make the NCAA Tournament.
In this story:

CINCINNATI — The Bearcats slipped a bit in the NET Rankings following a 67-62 loss to Houston over the weekend. Cincinnati is now at No. 34 nationally after entering the weekend at No. 32.

This marks the program's lowest NET ranking since being slotted 35th on Feb. 2. They are firmly on the NCAA Tournament bubble, albeit with a strong case to make the dance over some other comparable teams.

The Bracket Matrix has Cincinnati a part of 67/101 official bracket projections as of this writing. That slots them into a 12 seed. All in all, TeamRankings gives Cincinnati a 61% to make the tournament.

The record goal in the final eight games is 5-3 minimum. Post that mark at least and Cincinnati will have a strong shot at making the tournament for the first time this decade
