CINCINNATI — Dontay Corleone was on the field to start 2024 fall camp for UC football. He donned a no-contact yellow jersey but its an encouraging sign to see from the big fella.

His availability this season got even more important amidst news that defensive end Mikah Coleman (ruptured achilles) will not play at all due to injury in 2024.

Corleone's running mate on the inside, defensive tackle Jalen Hunt, loves seeing his buddy on the field. Hunt was solid last season across 202 defensive snaps (67.2 PFF defensive grade).

"I'm trying to take a lot off his plate," Hunt said to the media on Wednesday. "I'm very optimistic about him coming back. I've just been stepping in for him playing a little bit of nose (guard) boundary end, doing a little bit of everything. Make this pressure a lot lighter for everybody."
