In this story:

CINCINNATI — Bearcats tight end Joe Royer has made a palpable impact through three games. The Cincinnati native has 11 catches for 266 yards and 2 TDs so far, all while an 80-yard score got taken off the board due to a penalty last week.

The fast start landed him on ESPN's Surprise All-Transfer Team to start the season.

All in all, Royer boasts a 72.7 PFF grade on the year as he looks to make more plays this week against Houston. Cincinnati has produced a strong group of productive tight ends over the past 15 years and Royer looks ready to keep carrying that baton.
