Look: Cincinnati Defensive End Eric Phillips Among National Leaders In Quarterback Pressures

The Bearcats are getting after the quarterback.

CINCINNATI — Eric Phillips is among the national leaders in quarterback pressures through four games. Cincinnati's top edge rusher has 14 according to PFF and a 66.2 pass rush grade.

The veteran wrecked Miami's (OH) hopes of keeping the victory bell two weeks ago, plus, affected Donovan Smith with three pressures on Saturday.

Cincinnati needed an outside rusher to step up consistently and Phillips is answering the bell (three-plus pressures in every game thus far), heading a defense with nine sacks on the season (30th nationally).
