Look: Cincinnati Ranked Among Bottom-Three Power Conference Teams Nationally Following Loss to Pittsburgh

In this story:

CINCINNATI — From a move up to an immediate move down for Cincinnati football. The Athletic's Chris Vannini released his 1-134 FBS rankings ahead for Week 3 and Cincinnati is down one spot to No. 88 after a 28-27 home loss to Pitt.

Only two Power Conference schools ranked lower than Cincinnati: Stanford (No. 89) and Houston (No. 90).

Head coach Scott Satterfield is still yet to beat an FBS opponent inside Nippert Stadium (0-7) as the reasons keep repeating and begin to tire Bearcat fans faithful on the new regime.

Cincinnati has proven nothing under Satterfield and is only projected to win two more games this season based on ESPN's FPI (@ Miami, V. Houston). Another 3-9 campaign would be a disaster and spark zero hope for the rest of Satterfield's tenure.

Saturday is a massive game for the trajectory and health of the program. Just finding a win as 1.5-point betting favorites would be palatable as UC tries to end the rivalry on the right foot.
