PFF Names Cincinnati Football's Biggest Strength Entering 2024 Season

The Bearcats could eat on the ground again this fall.

CINCINNATI — PFF has the Bearcats offensive line as the team's top strength entering the 2024 season. Luke Kandra and the crew spearheaded a top-10 rushing attack nationally last season.

"Cincinnati returns all five starters to an offensive line that was among the 25 best in college football by PFF grade last season. The star of that unit is right guard Luke Kandra, one of the best interior offensive linemen in America," The team preview stated.

Kandra could play himself into a strong NFL Draft position this fall after showing his prowess across 895 snaps last season.

"Kandra followed head coach Scott Satterfield from Louisville to Cincinnati and established himself as one of the best guards in college football this past season," the article stated. "His 81.9 PFF overall grade ranked third among Power Five guards in 2023, and his 82.1 run-blocking grade placed second. In particular, his 86.1 grade on zone runs ranked second among Power Five guards. Kandra was named to PFF’s All-Big 12 team following the season."

Cincinnati is even deeper along the line this season and that group will be the biggest reason for a bowl appearance—should they get back to .500 or better.
