Report: Arizona State Missing Starting Quarterback Sam Leavitt Against Cincinnati

CINCINNATI — The Bearcats are facing Arizona State backup quarterback Jeff Sims on Saturday. ESPN's Pete Thamel broke the news that Sam Leavitt is missing the game due to injury.

Sims has two pass attempts this season after starting his career at Nebraska, transferring to Georgia Tech and then to Arizona State. All in all, the senior's notched 4,759 career passing yards on 57.6% completion to go with 1,372 rushing yards on 4.2 yards per carry.

The betting line has further shifted towards the Bearcats, with most sportsbooks making them a six-point favorite after opening the week as a 2.5-point favorite.

Leavitt was solid to start this season, posting a 67.3 QBR in six games (43rd nationally).
