CINCINNATI — The Bearcats football team has done a nice job filling needs so far in the transfer portal. The Athletic's Manny Navarro likes the moves enough to make them a winner from the opening week.

Cincinnati's added OL Taran Tyo, DE Jaylon White, WR Caleb Goodie, and CB Matthew McDoom so far.

"Cincinnati improved from 3-9 to 5-7 in Scott Satterfield’s second season and is one of two schools with commitments from two former all-conference selections," Navarro wrote. "That would be former Ball State right tackle Taran Tyo, a third-team All-MAC selection, and former Coastal Carolina cornerback Matthew McDoom, a 26-game starter and first-team All-Sun Belt pick this season. Former Colorado State receiver Caleb Goodie (21 catches for 436 yards and four TDs) is the third starter in the class."

Cincinnati will likely add roughly 10 more transfer names to round out this winter cycle over the next two weeks.

The recruiting staff has done a great job identifying transfer talent in the first two seasons and this group could be next in line to help Cincinnati get over .500 in 2025.
