TUNNEL HILL — Jim Harris Jr. has been a Bearcat target for a bit now. Harris locked in his visit with Cincinnati recently and his coach (Matt Bolles) caught up with Bearcats Talk to discuss more about his prospect.

“Big Jim has the frame that every NCAA (OL) covets for a (OT),” Bolles stated to Bearcats Talk. “High-hipped, small waist, super long arms, big hands, quick feet, hip bend, ankle flexion, and smart. Mix that with a deep desire to finish and strain every rep…you have just defined yourself versus an average OT.

He dove into Harris's personality outside live action. 247Sports has him rated 64th among 2025 offensive tackles and 20th among Michigan players.

“Big Jim is a gentle giant," Bolles said. "He is never going to be the one in a group to lead the conversation, but he is elite at sitting quiet, observing the situation, processing every outcome, and making smart choices.

“Big Jim has come a long way in his personal development both as a person and player. Jim is going to always be a positive leader, but he will raise his voice to be heard. Jim looks 'nerdy' with his big long frame and quiet demeanor. But he flips that switch on game days and tries to bury them every play. The surface of his potential and what he will do in the near future is very key.”
