Report: Cincinnati Rival Head Coach Sean Miller Top Target Amidst Texas Opening

UC has face him a few times in the recent seasons.

CINCINNATI — Cincinnati basketball's top rival could have a new coach next season. CBS Sports's Jon Rothstein reported Texas is moving on from head coach Rodney Terry and Xavier's Sean Miller is at the top of their candidate list.

Miller has been at Xavier for the past three seasons after coaching there from 2004-09 to start his head coaching run in the sport. He is 2-1 against Cincinnati in the Crosstown Shootout since returning to Norwood.

Miller is under contract with Xavier through the 2028-29 season.

Sources: Rodney Terry will not return as Texas' head coach next season.

Xavier's Sean Miller is expected to be among Chris Del Conte's top candidates to be the Longhorns' next head coach.
