CINCINNATI —  One of Cincinnati's top football recruits in 2023 is switching positions as head coach Scott Satterfield confirmed on Wednesday that quarterback Brady Drogosh is moving to linebacker.

"We all love Brady Drogosh," head coach Scott Satterfield said. "He's a phenomenal human being and a great player. We looked at it and first half of spring is play all quarterback. Which he did, got a ton of reps at quarterback, and did a very solid job. And our whole emphasis is we want to get Drogosh on the field. I don't want him standing beside me on game day."

The four-star recruit was UC's second-highest-rated player on 247Sports as he played behind Emory Jones and Brady Lichtenberg in 2023.

The 6-foot-4 talent has stacked on 30 pounds of muscle to a 200-pound freshman frame according to Satterfield and will likely add more throughout the offseason amidst the switch. He joins a room headed up by Jack Dingle, Dorian Jones, and Jared Bartlett.

"We recognize it's going to take a little bit of time over there to figure out if he can help us in that spot," Satterfield said. "He also is working with our special teams and doing all that. He's a tremendous asset for this team. We're trying to find somewhere to put him where he can help this team. It's not out of the realm (of possibility) that he can play quarterback. I think he can play a lot of positions, so we are just checking this out right now."
