2025 Edge Rusher Sampson Onuoha on Cincinnati: 'They Believe I Can Be A Part Of Their Plans'
TUNNEL HILL — Cincinnati football recently offered a talented athlete from Belmont High School in Boston, Massachusetts. Sampson Onuoha is an edge rusher who has a 6-foot-4, 240-pound frame and is currently unranked in the 2025 class.
Following his Cincinnati offer, Onuoha spoke with All Bearcats to recap the conversation
“The offer means a lot to me. Cincinnati is an excellent school in a fantastic city," Onuoha said. "They have a great football program up there. Everyone knows they were in the college football playoffs a couple of years ago; they are a big-time football program. It's also my first Big 12 offer, so that's huge.”
Onuoha had the chance to speak with defensive line coach Walt Stewart.
“I spoke with Coach Stewart on the phone," Onuoha said. "He was the one that offered me. We have begun building a relationship ever since he came to my school to see me during the contact period last month. The conversation went well. It's always great speaking with Coach Stewart. Coach Stewart showed me the city and the facilities they have there. It's all great. Cincinnati has big goals for the next couple of years, and they believe I can be a part of their plans.”
Onuoah hasn’t completely shut off the potential of visiting Cincinnati: “I'm still trying to figure out what schools I'm trying to visit. My recruiting has blown up in the last couple of months, and I currently have many great choices.”
