2025 Running Back Javin Gordon Talks Cincinnati Bearcats Offer

Talented Georgia high school athlete talks Cincinnati offer.
In this story:

TUNNEL HILL — Cincinnati football has offered many talented athletes from across the country as of late. One of the newest players to receive an offer is 2025 unranked running back Javin Gordon.

Gordon is a 5-foot-10, 195-pound running back from Stephens County High School in Toccoa, Georgia. He is a class of 2025 athlete who holds offers from schools such as Cincinnati, Liberty, Wake Forest, and more.

“Coach (De'Rail) Sims really had started talking to me the week before he offered to get to know me more, not only as a player but as a character," Gordon said. "He wanted to feel me out and see what type of player he was recruiting, and I respected that from him. Coach Sims keeps it real, but when he offered it to me, it was like a shocking moment because I honestly wasn’t expecting it. I was in school. Once I heard the moment he offered me, my heart dropped. It was a blessing, honestly, man.”

"I haven’t even been up to Cincinnati, so I don’t know a lot about them or what they have to offer campus-wise, but I’ve heard that it’s a great place and school and also has a good football team.“

Gordon discussed what he could bring to the team.

“I feel that with a program like Cincinnati, I can bring a hard-working athlete on the field and in the classroom, A leader and a great teammate," Gordon said. “I plan to try and visit Cincinnati this spring, if not sometime before I make my decision.”

The running back said Cincinnati is one of his top options. “As of now and where I’m at in my recruitment, I’d say yes, Cincinnati is a top school in my recruitment,” Gordon stated.

“As of right now, I’ve just been exploring my options and building relationships. This is all new to me, so I’m kind of getting to know it some first, but as of right now, no,” Gordon said about having a commitment date finalized.

Getting Gordon on a visit seems to be a key point in seeing where Cincinnati truly stands as his recruitment heats up.
