Cincinnati Lands Commitment From Local Three-Star 2025 LB Paul Nelson

CINCINNATI — The Bearcats landed another commitment this weekend as three-star 2025 Princeton linebacker Paul Nelson committed to Cincinnati. He is the 12th commitment in the class.

UC, Michigan, West Virginia, Illinois, Indiana, Toledo, Pittsburgh, and Kentucky were in his final group.

The 6-2, 205-pound linebacker is ranked 1,044th nationally on 247Sports and 104th among linebackers. 247Sports has the class ranked in the top 40 after this weekend.

Nelson is a strong wrap tackler who shows patience in gaps as a roving middle linebacker. He flashed strong form in one-on-one tackling opportunities and has the length to hold up in coverage, with some interceptions mixed into his profile. It's another strong local candidate to carry the linebacker torch at Cincinnati.
