Four-Star 2024 Point Guard Travis Perry Places UC Among Top-Five Schools
CINCINNATI — UC men's basketball is in the top-five schools for major 2024 four-star target Travis Perry as he gets ready to announce a decision on Nov. 12.
On3's Joe Tipton broke the news as the Lyon County (Kentucky) sharpshooter is down to Alabama, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Ole Miss, and Western Kentucky.
According to 247Sports, Perry is the 76th-ranked player nationally and the sixth-best point guard. He cut his list from 20 offers, as UC was one of his first offers last summer.
Perry can straight fill it up as the all-time leading scorer in Kentucky state history before his senior season (over 4,337 points). Perry is a fluid playmaker and scorer at 6-foot-2, 170 pounds. He's teamed up with Flory Bidunga on Indiana Elite across the Three Stripes Select Circuit and fit right in with the big man.
He's a sound ballhandler with nice vision and above all else a beautiful jump shot off the catch, dribble, or other actions. The guard can also get downhill from time to time and finish with touch.
Perry would be a strong addition to UC's Big 12 backcourt.
