Recruiting Roundup: Cincinnati Offers Top 20 Edge Rusher In 2024 Class
CINCINNATI — We are quickly approaching the start of UC's Spring Football period, prompting another Recruiting Roundup.
The big-time offers have cooled down a bit—but UC did target four-star 2024 edge rusher Caden Brown out of Erasmus Hall (New York).
According to 247Sports, Brown is the 308th-ranked player nationally and the 19th-best edge defender. He holds 10 offers from schools like Michigan State and Boston College.
The junior bulked up a bit this season, but he didn't lose any of his eye-popping motor. Brown's up to 210 pounds at 6-foot-4, and his speed stands out the most from that frame.
That bull/speed rush is a bear to deal with for opponents. He's also got adequate swim moves that he mixes in with his power. Brown is skirting the normal narratives around New York City football by out-willing his competition on each snap.
Cincinnati also offered three-star 2024 wide receiver NiTareon Tuggle out of Northwood (Indiana).
According to 247Sports, Tuggle is the 69th-ranked wide receiver nationally and the eighth-best player in Indiana.
He holds 17 offers from schools like Illinois and Ole Miss. Tuggle has reportedly scheduled a visit to check out Cincinnati.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound talent has some intriguing traits heading into his senior season. Tuggle's lateral agility and left-to-right juke move are cheat codes in the open field. He is a deadly screen threat that can flip a defense with those skills.
Tuggle can also highpoint the ball well on deep routes and figures to be a big play threat at the FBS level.
We close the Roundup with an offer to 2024 wide receiver Shamar Rigby out of Lakewood (Florida).
Rigby is not ranked on a major service but does hold seven offers from schools like Iowa State and Louisville.
