Three-Star 2025 Wide Receiver Tyler Williams Updates His Cincinnati Recruitment: 'A Good Gift'

Tyler Williams breaks down Cincinnati conversations and more.
In this story:

TUNNEL HILL — Tyler Williams is a player that the Bearcats have been targeting for quite some time now (offered Sept. 19, 2023).

The talent is a 6-foot-2 190-pound 2025 wide receiver from Sumner High in Riverview, Florida. According to 247Sports, Williams is the 508th-ranked player nationally and the 73rd-best wide receiver.

Williams recalls the day he was offered.“Cincinnati offered me the day before my birthday so it was sort of a good gift," Williams said. "Cincinnati shows a lot of love I probably have talked to every coach on their staff and that shows how personable they are.”

The wideout dives deeper when talking about the coaching staff.

“I talk to coach (Brad) Glenn and Cass (Simmons) the most," Williams noted. "They have always been in contact since I got the offer and never stopped. They have been taking it slow and just want me to know they would like to have my size speed and athletic ability.”

Williams possesses tons of on-the-field traits, but he believes he can bring more than that to the Bearcats.

“I can bring the whole package," he declared. "I will not only be a great teammate but I will be a great individual working to get better on and off the field. I feel it’s still early and every school is a contender. I haven’t set anything up yet, but I would love to go and see the campus and be around the team and staff.”
