TUNNEL HILL — Cincinnati landed its seventh 2025 commitment and this one being in-state.

2025 three-star edge rusher (Rivals) Erik Gayle from Withrow High School in Cincinnati, Ohio was the athlete to pull the Bearcats trigger. He ranks as the 24th-highest player in the state (Rivals).

“The program feels like a family,” Gayle stated to Bearcats Talk. “I like the coaches and also it’s like 15 minutes away from me. Once I noticed they showed the most love out of all the other schools I knew I was going to be a Bearcat.”

Gayle believes that each of the coaches equally played a factor in his decision overall.

“Every one of them texts me like every day and they seem real genuine!”

He also stated he will be visiting June 7th-9th and at this moment his recruitment is not shut down completely.

“Thank you for all the love y’all have been showing and Go Bearcats!”
