Clemson Football: Previewing Clemson's remaining schedule

Clemson faces a tough stretch to end the season that includes three massive road games.
In this story:

The first half of the Season was rocky for the Clemson Tigers (4-2, 2-2 ACC). While The Tigers are trying to figure out just who they are, teams like Florida State, Louisville, and North Carolina are fighting for a spot in the ACC Championship. Clemson will need to win out and get a lot of help if the Tigers are going to make the conference championship. Here's a look at the remainder of their schedule.

Week 8 - @ #25 Miami

This game against the Hurricanes could be a leap of confidence for the team if they come out with a win. Miami was a contender to go to Charlotte before the meltdown against the Yellow Jackets. Facing North Carolina this week there is a chance they could be on a two-game skid when they face the Tigers.

Week 9 - @ NC State

NC State has had an up-and-down year just like Clemson. The Clemson vs NC State matchups have not disappointed in the last two matchups with the largest margin of victory at ten for Clemson last year. This game will be a very physical game on the road in Raleigh where the fans are rowdy for all four quarters. This will tell us a lot about Klubnik’s progression as a leader of this offense.

Week 10 - #21 Notre Dame

The national brand of Notre Dame should attract fans to Memorial Stadium to be loud and disruptive. Notre Dame quarterback Sam Hartman has been trying to beat the Tigers for his whole career. He currently sits at 0-3 against Clemson. Hartman transferred to a more talented team where his last chance may be his best chance to beat the Tigers.

Week 11 - Georgia Tech

Georgia Tech has been a very well-rounded team on the road since Brent Key was elevated to the head coach position. They are 5-0 on the road against ACC opponents since Key was promoted. Haynes King, the transfer from Texas A&M, has completely done a career 180. He has elevated his game as a passer and has made this Georgia Tech offense elevate to a new level. Tech's stunning upset of Miami last week should have the Tigers on notice.

Week 12 - #12 North Carolina

North Carolina was handled by Clemson in last year's ACC Championship. The 29-point differential will not be replicated with North Carolina having a very improved team. A factor that will come into play is the secondary against Drake Maye’s weapons with the likes of Nate McCollum and Tez Walker. The secondary will have faced a multitude of challenges but none of them had Drake Maye throwing them the football.

Week 13 - @ South Carolina

This game is one of uncertainty for both teams. Each will look to end their year off on a high note. This game last year had a lot of emotion and the Gamecocks came out on top. Now, the Tigers will try and return the favor and spoil Senior Day. This will be all about who can withstand body blows in what will be a 12-round fight for both teams.
